Red Face

Rock scratched his right cheek pretty badly in early December. It actually bled!
In order to disguise his wound, he turned his face as red as his carseat. Can't see that scratch now!
(Also, appreciate his turtleneck from Cokie -- when she bought this for him, Fix said "but he has no neck!")

December

Rock's first snowfall.
Sorry we didn't get better pictures of him in the snow, but hey -- that stuff is COLD!
A cute pre-bath picture. Bath time is still my favorite time of day. Rock likes it a lot too.

Very End of November

In honor of Fix's ordination, we made a cheese Bible in the style of the cheese football and cheese turkey.
Seeing as how he wasn't ordained this point, Fix thought you could preach from a cheese Bible... But we straightened him out after this sermon.
Molly was very interested in Rock's bouncer.
That same weekend we went to see THE WIZARD OF OZ -- starring Alexa (one of the gals in my Junior High Bible Study) as the Tin Man. Rock loved the play, but not how loudness of the Wizard. When the Wizard of Oz bellowed into the microphone, Rock burst into tears.
Ian was our favorite munchkin.Later on that night at the Colemans, Molly and Sophie had some girl-time.

The California Coleman Ladies
Clip and Barb Sophie's not sure how she feels about recliners... or is it Mike?
Molly, blankets are not for eating.
Sophie I think you have a little hair in your face.
Happy parents.
Molly, Stephen, Fix and Rachel
This picture makes me laugh.
One of the pilgrim's from Rock's Thanksgiving Day Little People Mayflower ship. He wanted to grab her, but couldn't quite get his fingers to do the work...

Trimming the Tree

Rock got the honor of hanging the first ornament on the Christmas tree.
A gift from Rock's Great Aunt Valeta, it's a miniature Fred Flintstone ornament with the words "YOU ROCK" in 'stone.' She got matching ornaments for Rock and my dad.
Then Fix hung Rock from the tree.

Corny Fix

Leave it to Iowa to finally make some corn that Fix can eat. If you didn't know already, Fix is allergic to corn. That includes cornstarch, cornmeal and corn syrup. It's in a LOT of stuff, but thankfully not in this yummy cheese that my dad bought for Fix on a recent business trip.

Picking a Christmas Tree

Rock didn't quite know what to make of Christmas tree shopping.
So he started crying.
Not that I blame him -- it was about 10 degrees outside. The tree that we ended up with is not the best I've ever seen, but it's not bad for a whirlwind-my-eyeballs-are-going-to-freeze-if-we-don't-pick-one-soon-tree-shopping excursion. And it was a good chance to teach Rock about the true meaning of Christmas... Via this vinyl Santa Claus.

Growing in December

A lot of things have happened in December. In fact, we've had so much going on, I haven't had much time to blog. As always, Rock has done a lot of growing.
And a lot of drooling...
And a lot of hand-munching...
And a lot of staring...

And of course, a lot of sleeping. Appreciate his LONG eyelashes! I don't know where he got those from but they sure are adorable.
