My birthday, which may or may not have been my 30th birthday, started with breakfast at Panera with this cute guy...
And his cute son who was clearly enjoying the food.
I can't think of anyone else I'd rather spend my birthday with...
Even if they were a little grumpy at times.
Things got a little crazy when the birthday girl started posing. I just wish I could talk Rock into being more expressive!
Just the first stop on a day full of fun!
There are huge icicles dripping off all sides of your house...
Your fantastic husband (right behind Zuni's car in the center of the picture above) gets a real workout (again) shoveling out the driveway (again) by himself (again)...
The gutter actually falls off your neighbors house...
And your crazy neighbor gets up on the roof and ropes himself to the chimney while he shovels off the extra snow. I watched him for at least a half an hour as I was convinced I would need to call 911 to come and save his dangling body.
We did get out for a break with Juju and Rocket. Mounds of snow were everywhere! It was fun, but I'm over snow for this winter. Bring on the sunshine. PLEASE!
You know you're getting a lot of snow when...

And your neighbor's gutter looks like it's going to fall off...

Fix and Rock started shoveling when the snow was still coming down because it was building up on our front door and it took a LOT of pushing to get it opened.
Thankfully Rock had his broom to help Daddy shovel.
On the many days that we were trapped inside, we did a lot of reading...
And a lot of playing with cars and trucks...
And we even broke down and watched The Muppets Take Manhattan (tv is to the left of this picture). As soon as Shin arrives, he's going to look huge so I appreciate how small Rock looks on this couch.
Rock loves it when Nana comes to visit. Especially if she brings her collection of Frog and Toad stories.
The plot lines are fascinating!
How does one get their hair this incredibly messy in one nap?
And what's the deal with the pursed lips?
Even when he's sick (check out those bags under his eyes!)...
Rock still knows how to jam.
