Hmmm... where to go to college.....

Over Christmas, Rock spent a lot of time pondering where he will go to college...
Aunt Sarah and Uncle Ron (and Cokie and Nana Rabenhorst) think that the University of Oklahoma would be a good pick.
Aunt Bethany was pushing for the University of Florida. We'll just have to wait about 17 years or so to find out what Rock decides.

Christmas Night

Nana and Sophie were just two of the Hathaway/Rabenhorst clan that joined us on Christmas night. We had a yummy dinner and watched THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM on the big screen (thanks to Marty's projector).
Bethany gave Kelly a set of fighter remote controlled helocopters. Once again, I failed to get a good picture of the actual gifts, but at least I captured the set-up.

Before we opened gifts, Rock made some new friends. They talked about how cool it was that they all had matching outfits.

Which was exhausting to play with.

All I Want For Christmas is You... BABY!

For about 12 years now, the Brockman tradition has been to dance to Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You" on Christmas morning before we open our stockings, eat breakfast, and open gifts. Kelly (and the other sons in law) are finally embracing this tradition. My mom said she was really looking forward to dancing to this song this year because she would get to hold what she always wanted (a grandbaby) while she danced -- here they are cutting a rug.
This is how Fix feels about dancing first thing in the morning.
Who wouldn't want a baby this cute for Christmas?!

SMILE! CHRISTMAS IS HERE!

Early Christmas morning Rock woke up his mom and dad with a big smile on his face.
We hung out in our bed (Cokie and Rocket's bed - we spent the night at their house) until everyone else woke up.

A Gift from Nana Kerry and Papa John

Rock got an early Christmas gift from Nana Kerry and Papa John. He liked peeking the bag almost as much as he liked the gift...

Which was a fun Baby's First Christmas ornament with his name and birth year on it! With this one, Aunt Valeta's YOU ROCK ornament and the two others he got this year, Rock's ornament collection is taking off!

Bottle: Take Two

Rock's second bottle feeding went a lot better than the first. This was due to the fact that Mom had nothing to do with it. Our freedom is in sight!
