Goggles

So frustrating when you wear your 'Struction goggles out in the rain and they get all foggy on you.

Messy Girl

Miss Independent has been feeding herself lately. Which means that she is messy at every meal.

I turned my back at Lunch the other day and she grabbed her peas off the table and shoved her hands in!

At dinner she got equally dirty.

She needs the food for energy to fight her brother.

Campbells in the Cart

On a recent BJ's run, I took Louisa out of her carseat and put her in the seat of the shopping cart for the first time. I don't know why I hadn't done it sooner 'cause she loved it.

When I posted this on Facebook, my friend said she looked like the Campbells Soup girl.I think I agree, do you?

UNO

Rock played UNO at Juju's house. He loved it.

So he used his own money to buy Toy Story 3 UNO.

We now play UNO almost daily and Rock is quite good. He loves to announce when he has "trouble" in his hand.

When Aunt Valeta and Tyler came to visit, Rock was thrilled that they knew how to play. And I was thrilled that they were kind enough to indulge him in a few rounds. I must say, Valeta and Tyler do great "I've got a lot of TROUBLE in my hand!" faces.

Soph and Belle

We were so happy to attend Sophia and Annabelle's joint birthday party at 1st Class Gymnastics -- aka, the scene of Rock's Gymnastics class torture.
I was nervous that Rock would have flashbacks and cry throughout the afternoon. But as the picture shows, he loved it!Perhaps it was the promise of Barbie cakes (one for each of the birthday girls!) after playing that made the gym of ridiculously fun activities endurable.

Whatever the reason, we all had fun and the birthday girls looked lovely in their leotards. That's Belle above on the left.

Sophia was a trooper considering she was pretty sick on the day of the party. Thanks ladies for hosting a great party!

p.s. I got the birthday girls matching necklaces from S&D for gifts. Louisa was more than happy to try them on for size before we gave them away.

Warmth!

A warm day! In February! The kids and I spent it at the park with the Hathaways but I didn't get any pictures of that.

That evening we took Fix to the play train at BTC. If she wasn't so clingy, Louisa could totally be walking by herself now.
She is perpetually on the go, she just wants to be holding on to something while she moves.

While she went round and round the train, Rock raced his new cars on top of it.

I hope he never loses the bulge of adorable chub at the base of his pointer finger.

Bring on more warm weather! We are ready!

Soccertots

Who is that lurking behind the net of that goal post?!
Why it's the SOCCERTOTS of course! Instead of playing actual games of soccer, Coach B's class for 3.5 year olds focuses on building skills and controlling the ball. Rock loves it as much as he hated gymnastics.

On his first day of class he asked to buy his own ball to practice at home. He's quite dedicated and fortunately he is one of the best kids in his class.

I never played soccer so I'll defer to the experts on what to call this move.

We will definitely be signing up for another session. Soccertots ROCKS!

31 Is So Much Fun!

Nothing says "Happy Birthday Rachel!" like waking up to smoothies with these two cuties. Rock had spent the night at Juju's house after we went out to a Mexican birthday dinner the night before (where my parents and Fix revealed that they went in together to get me a new phone!).

And I have to say, there was something so nice about having just one baby to tend to!

That afternoon, Rock returned with a beautiful blue cake that he and Juju had made just for me. Rock choose blue icing as Juju did not have the correct dye to make a black cake. Black being his favorite color of course.

I choose to have Grace's Fortune take-out for my birthday dinner.
Yay for yummy Chinese food! And yay for my new black shirt from Fix!
Oh and I also got a birthday balloon from Rock. It made for hours of 'I'm burning my (insert body part here)' jokes...

Until we blew it out.

Bootcamp Beige

I spent the first weekend of February at Bootcamp for Stella & Dot. It was an amazing day and half of training and fun. It would have been nice if someone had told me I looked like a beige blob. I will be dying this shirt another color in the near future. Suggestions?
