Addy is confused as to why I can't seem to take a decent shot. Ever.
One of the highlights of the Thanksgiving Day trip was...
Being there for Addy's baptism.

Both sets of grandparents were there for this momentous day. They asked me to take an especially blurry picture of the seven of them. I was happy to oblige.

Regardless, she is beyond precious!
Just across the way from downtown Miami....
Is a cool park whose name (once again!) I don't remember except that I think the word Hammock was in it. Anyway, it's a great place to have a family cookout and play Cornhole.
Never heard of it? Well, neither had I. This was the first time I played and I discovered that it's a lot of fun but not as easy as it looks. It took me all day to get mediocre.
But these old dudes were instant pros.
They beat Kelly and Ron quite soundly.

Rock wanted to be like his grandfather so he tried to make a new friend too -- his cousin Addy.
She didn't know what to make of the matching t-shirts.
But with a no-so-gentle nudge in the right direction...
They bonded.
In fact, Rock didn't want to let her go. His sweetness warms his mom's heart.
I am kicking myself because I can't remember the name of the awesome restaurant we went to on the water in Miami. Buddy's? No. That's in Annapolis. It was in the middle of this cool boat yard and they had great fried conch, coconut shrimp and fish and chips.
Any place that makes my boys this happy is a winner for me! These days when we want Rock to smile for a shot, we say "Show me your teeth." Which usually produces the look above...
But occasionally it just prompts him to raise his eyebrows.
And here's the other side of the table.
And finally the big day arrived. We started off with an Addy/Turkey comparison.
Then, while the turkey fried...
We hung out around the house and outside the house 'cause it was so warm!

Rock started getting antsy so we let him eat some rolls early.
This made him feel much better.
Rock and Rock found each other to be very amusing.
One of these things is not like the others...
Family shot. This could have been so much better if I didn't have the world's most annoying camera batteries. But irregardless of my camera, it was still fun to be with family on Thanksgiving.
To top off a wonderful day, the Brockman ladies played a game of Catan.
She may look sweet enough.
But during her first card game -- the Brockman family favorite Shanghai Rummy of course -- Addy proved to be quite the card shark. And her sweet demeanor was just her mini version of a poker face.
