Shots

Sophie the giraffe is now constantly at Louisa's side. She is especially helpful in calming Lou down when she needs a shot.
Louisa has very bad reactions to her shots (read: we usually spend the rest of the day administering drugs to keep her fever down and holding her very carefully so as not to make her scream in pain while she goes in and out of sleep), so we have been spreading them waaaay out.
She only smiles like this before the shots are given. Poor girl. Oh and Louisa has also been given the superlative of "Fix Baby Girl Most Likely to be Bitten Repeatedly on the Head by Mosquitos." Again, poor girl.

Such a smiley baby!

Luke is also prone to mosquito bites - he must have tasty sweat or something. He also swells up from them immediately. What works for us is to wipe them with rubbing alcohol as soon as we see them and they're gone in less than 30 minutes. I don't know how you feel about putting that on a baby, but it evaporates pretty quickly so you might give it a try on one and see what happens. Unless she's not bothered by them - then just ignore my ramblings.
