This year we took an evening to stop by the Winter Festival of Lights at Watkins Park.
I was very impressed with how many different creatures/people/animals they created, but this Christmas Crab was my favorite. We went at bedtime so we dressed the kids in their Christmas pjs and they dutifully fell asleep on the last leg of the show.
Then Fix and I drove around sipping out hot tea, looking at Christmas lights in the neighborhoods near ours, and talking to each other like we never make time to do.
I can definitely see us making this type of an evening a Christmas tradition.

That was so nice of your kids to give you that time to talk afterwards! Nick and I love our roadtrips - those turn out to be some of our best times to talk!
