A few facts about Rock...
1) He likes to make noise. Even if it's at a time when he should be quiet. Like, for example, when his father is preaching a sermon on Sunday evenings at church.

2) He recognizes his father's voice these days and likes to talk back to him even if it's at a time when he should be quiet. Like, for example, when his father is preaching a sermon on Sunday evenings at church.
3) He's getting pretty good at sitting up.
Thus, we rarely are able to sit in the meeting room during the evening church service. Instead, Rock and I usually end up listening to dad preach over the speaker (on the table in the picture above) in the crib room. This way, Rock is free to make as much noise as he wants without disturbing the rest of the congregation. He can also practice sitting up!
His rating of this sermon? "A-OKAY."

Adorable pictures! I really like that sweater and the color is really good on him.
It kind of looks like he's trying to show how old he is in that last picture.
Talking back already?!?
I could never stop the desire to comment during sermons either... that's why I stopped going to church. I have an idea where they would cut sermon's in half, and then let people respond for the second half and have the pastor respond like a professor. If they did that then I think I would be there every Sunday. Do you think Stephen would be up for that idea?
Actually, Robert, our church used to do that (sort of) with a sermon discussion after the service where you could ask the preacher whatever you wanted. It was great, but it is not going on anymore. I'll let you know if it starts up again.
Rock, on the other hand, is not allowed to ask any questions about my sermons until he can put syllables together to make words.
love it. can't wait to see you guys!!!
i'm totally stealing your birthday indulgence for myself this year.
